My favorite thing about babies
I love the state of babyhood for many reasons, but mostly because it's a time of firsts. Never in our lives do we do so many things for the first time. It reminds me that we all started out as blank slates, or like smooth round balls of clay. Life molds and shapes us into what we are to become. So much of that shaping comes in the first few months! Alexander had his first smile on Saturday July 30th. I haven't been able to catch it on "film" until today. This isn't the best example of his adorable little smile, but it's all we could get! Isn't he sweet?

oh, cute. I love those first smiles so much. You're right, it is so fun to see them doing new things all the time. So many firsts. I hope you write them all down! I always think I won't forget, but inevitably I do, so I'm getting better about noting everything on my calendar.
He is such a cutie! I do love all the baby firsts and can't wait to go through them all again.
How cute! I love when they start to smile and get a little more of a personality. I have a hard time when it's just eating/sleeping /pooping stage.
I love the first time babies do things also. Joshy is almost all done with his "baby firsts" I guess all we really have left is walking. Then we get to start on the toddler firsts. Kira amazes me everyday with what she is learning.
He is SO cute! I love baby too! I'm ready for my next fix- when can I come over? :)
Too cute. I love watching infants at this stage. It gives me a new appriciation for things around me by looking at them thru Hannah's eyes.
I love the new yellow background color. Makes everything fresh and bright.
I love babies! I am jealous that you get to experience all of the joys again.
PS - I would love to know what kind of orthodics Jeremy bakes in the oven.

I always feel sorry for Aaron becasue he is usually at work when all the "firsts" happen with our kids.
